COMING ITALIAN COURSES ONLINE
Italian Reading course starting on the 31st August
If you are upper beginner or lower intermediate and want to practise reading and speaking Italian in a small group online, this course would be perfect for you!
These classes aim to help students expand their vocabulary and grasp of Italian grammar, and help them to become fluent and confident Italian speakers.
The sessions will be led by Anna Capretti and Giovanni Montemurro based around reading a Italian text as a group. Any new vocabulary and grammatical elements will be explained by the tutor and the students will also be encouraged to discuss the text itself in Italian. Sessions will last an hour and a half. Each class will run for ten weeks and cost £90.

IL NOSTRO CLUB DI CARTE
Playing cards have been in Italy since the 14th century. Different from the 52-card deck we know today, Italians have their own version of playing cards, which are sometimes referred to as Latin suits. Cards and rules vary from region to region. As Latin-suited cards, Italian and Spanish suited cards use swords (spade), cups (coppe), coins (denari), and clubs (bastoni). All Italian suited decks have three face cards per suit: the fante (Knave), cavallo (Knight), and re (King).
There are many popular games to play with these fantastic cards: Scopa, Briscola, Tre sette, Sette e mezzo, Ruba mazzo...etc
We like organising sessions to teach people how to play some of these amazing games! And maybe a little of bit of Italian too!
